Riley Skinner has been in Winston-Salem for a long time and has seen the program evolve since getting to campus in 2005. Skinner played on the 2006 Orange Bowl team and has been part of the most successful three-year period in Wake Forest history, starting 26 of their 28 wins during that time. He's the team's unquestioned senior leader, and he's in for big things in 2009 when he'll try to become the most accurate passer in ACC history. His .673 completion percentage is slightly better than record-holder Matt Schaub of Virginia. Skinner threw for 2,347 passing yards last season with 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions and finished third in the conference in total offense. Skinner was among the top five quarterbacks in the ACC in Fantasy points last season and figures to be right up at the top again. That said, the receivers will be different this season so he'll have to gel with a new group, and the Demon Deacons are not exactly known for airing it out. That keeps Skinner mainly a low-end option in deeper Fantasy player pool leagues. Accuracy is great, but he would need far more yardage and touchdowns than last season to be a top guy in Fantasy. We just don't see the type of increase that would merit making him a high choice on Draft Day.
