Colin Peek will return to the college game in 2009 after sitting out last season due to transfer rules following his departure from Georgia Tech. Peek left the program after Paul Johnson took over for Chan Gailey. Johnson runs a triple-option system where passing isn't a focal point. Peek then packed his bags for Alabama, where Nick Saban runs a pro-style offense that likes to find the tight end over the middle. It was quite evident in 2008 as Nick Walker was second on the team with 32 catches for 324 yards and two touchdowns. Peek is a big target at 6-foot-7, 255 pounds and could be a nice check-off option for whichever first-year quarterback takes over for the Tide.
