Demarcus Robinson Update
Florida, TWR, FLA
7/8/2014
News: After performing well in the spring, Demarcus Robinson appears poised for a significant role in the 2014 Florida offense.
Analysis: The Gators have high hopes for their 2014 passing game after adding Kurt Roper (formerly of Duke) to their offensive coordinator position, and any success the team has will likely have a lot to do with Demarcus Robinson. Robinson dealt with academic and disciplinary issues in his first year and a half with the Gators, but but he seems more focused this year. He's one of college football's most talented receivers, possessing elite athleticism at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds.

Alabama
Kenyan Drake Update
Alabama, TRB, BAMA
7/5/2014
News: Kenyan Drake was arrested Saturday morning and charged with a misdemeanor count of obstructing government operations, al.com reports.
Analysis: Kenyan Drake was arrested because he allegedly ignored police orders to stay out of a crime scene. Drake's parked car was ruled within the crime scene boundary of a nearby shooting, and Drake attempted to retrieve his car from the scene instead of staying out as instructed. It's an instance of poor judgment, but seems relatively harmless otherwise. So long as he doesn't have other, unreported infractions weighing in at Alabama, this incident shouldn't result in much more than a brief, ceremonial suspension. Drake figures to serve alongside Derrick Henry as the co-backup to starting runner T.J. Yeldon this year.

Missouri
Green-Beckham Signs With Oklahoma
Missouri, TWR, MIZZOU
7/3/2014
News: Dorial Green-Beckham officially signed with Oklahoma on Thursday, Fox Sports reports.
Analysis: A former top recruit, Dorial Green-Beckham was kicked out of Missouri in April after a number of legal issues. He visited Oklahoma on Thursday and committed while meeting with the coaching staff. Considered a transfer, Green-Beckham will sit out the 2014 season, per NCAA rules. However, the Sooners are pursuing a waiver that would allow him to compete right away. If the request is denied, another alternative for the would-be junior is to spend the 2014 season on the practice squad and declare for the 2015 NFL draft.

Central Michigan
Central Michigan's Flory Suspended Indefinitely
Central Michigan, TWR, CMICH
7/3/2014
News: Andrew Flory has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules stemming from a shoplifting incident last month, The Morning News reports.
Analysis: Andrew Flory is facing two misdemeanor counts of second degree retail fraud after he and a teammate stole several hundred dollars worth of merchandise from a local Walmart. He also faces one count of marijuana possession after authorities discovered the drug at his apartment during the investigation. Flory has been offered a plea deal and, should he accept, he'll likely only face a few days in jail. Regardless, his status for the upcoming season is in jeopardy. "Suspended indefinitely" isn't exactly the clearest indication, but it appears very likely he'll be suspended for at least part of the season. In 2013, Flory, a junior from Florida, played in 12 games and caught 32 passes for 384 yards and two touchdowns.

Utah
Travis Wilson - probable (Concussion)
Utah, TQB, UTAH
6/25/2014
News: Travis Wilson (head) has been cleared for contact, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Analysis: Travis Wilson had what was feared to be a career-ending brain artery condition, but luckily the once-promising quarterback will be back on the field in 2014. Although he was too turnover prone last year, throwing 16 interceptions in just nine games, Wilson has rare running ability for a 6-foot-6, 240-pound quarterback, and he has shown a general knack for playmaking in his two college seasons. His return is great news for wideout Dres Anderson, who posted big numbers in 2013 before Wilson dealt with injuries, which also included an injured hand.
