Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy collects four hits in Monday's win
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(6/29/15) Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy went 4 for 5 at the plate to help lead the Brewers to a 7-4 win over the Phillies on Monday.
"That was kind of vintage Lucroy today," manager Craig Counsell said, per MLB.com.
Lucroy scored two runs and also drove in two when he hit a single off Sean O’Sullivan in the sixth inning, which scored Aramis Ramirez and Gerardo Parra.
Prior to Monday's game, Lucroy was hitting .179 with two doubles and three RBI in his last 11 games.
"I've been battling, dude," Lucroy said. "It's just been a battle. I've been lining out a lot. I looked at my numbers the other day and I calculated that if all of my lineouts would have fell, I would be hitting over .320. That's just the way it goes. I know the power numbers aren't there, but that will come."
Brewers C Jonathan Lucroy still searching for consistency

|(6/29/15) It's far too early to mark 2015 down as a bad year for Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy, but it is certainly heading in that direction.
Lucroy has struggled since returning from a toe injury that cost him 28 games. A mid-June surge provided encouragement, but he is battting .143 (4-for-28) since.
He also has just one home run on the season after bashing 55 over the previous four combined.
Brewers C Jonathan Lucroy given first cleanup duty in 2015

|(6/19/15) Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy has been placed in the cleanup spot Friday for the first time this season. He will man that spot in the hitter's paradise known as Coors Field.
Lucroy, who batted fourth 14 times a year ago, has heated up recently with four two-hit performances in the last five games. He has driven in seven runs in his last six games.
Brewers' Aramis Ramirez, Jonathan Lucroy not playing Sunday

|(6/14/15) Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez and catcher Jonathan Lucroy are both receiving days off on Sunday for the series-finale against the Nationals.
Taylor Jungmann will get the start behind the plate for Lucroy and Hector Gomez will work the hot corner for Ramirez.
Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy gets first start in leadoff spot
|by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com|
|(6/11/15) With Carlos Gomez sidelined again Thursday due to a leg injury, Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy got a chance to bat leadoff against the Nationals. It was the first time in Lucroy's career he started a game in the leadoff spot.
Lucory is beginning to heat up offensively, as he is batting .324 (11 for 34) with one double, one home run, two RBI, two runs and one walk in his last eight games.
|2014 summary: Already considered one of the top catchers in Fantasy, Jonathan Lucroy took it to another level in 2014, not only getting his batting average back over .300 after a dip in 2013 but also more than doubling his career high with 53 doubles, a record for a catcher. He finished as the top catcher in Head-to-Head points leagues, and even in Rotisserie, where doubles don't count for anything, he was second.|
Playing time status: The Brewers are motivated to keep Lucroy's bat in the lineup, giving him occasional starts at first base. His numbers slipped a little in the second half, but that may have been due to him wearing down over the course of 585 at-bats, also tops among catchers.
2015 outlook: After three consecutive seasons of elite-level production, Lucroy's value to Fantasy owners should be pretty clear by now. You'll find catchers who hit more home runs, but Lucroy's more well-rounded skill set gives him a clear edge in the rankings. Buster Posey is about the only catcher you might consider drafting ahead of him, making Lucroy worth targeting as early as Round 4 in mixed leagues.
