Cardinals' Matt Holliday: Day off Sunday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/22/16) Holliday is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Holliday tallied just two hits over his last seven games and now sits with a .236 batting average, so manager Mike Matheny decided to give him a day off to clear his hand. Brandon Moss will get the start in left field Sunday in Holliday's place.

Cardinals' Matt Holliday: Blast from past with two-homer game

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/13/16) Holliday had himself a huge night Thursday against the Angels, going 4-for-5 with two homers, a walk, three RBI and three runs.

The Angels will be glad to see him and the Cardinals leave town after they were swept thanks in no small part to Holliday's seven hits and three homers in the series. He's now hit two more homers in 34 games than he hit in 73 last season, but Holliday's stats weren't impressing anyone before these last three games; the jury's still out on whether the 35-year-old can stay healthy and productive over the course of a full season at this point in his career. That said, at least you know what you're getting when you roll him out in fantasy lineups.

Cardinals' Matt Holliday: Three extra-base hits versus Angels

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/11/16) Holliday went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, two RBI and a pair of runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Angels.

The veteran had experienced a power outage of late, with just one extra-base hit in nine games heading into Tuesday, but he was front and center as the Cardinals racked up 14 hits in an easy win. Holliday still has just four home runs and 16 RBI on the season, but he maintains some value hitting third in one of the more potent offenses in the league.

Cardinals' Matt Holliday: Getting some rest

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/5/16) Holliday is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Phillies.

The Cardinals will rest a few regular starters for a day game that follows a night game. After starting each of the previous eight contests, Holliday will give way to Brandon Moss in left field.

Cardinals' Matt Holliday: Back in lineup Wednesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/27/16) Holliday (leg) is back in the lineup Wednesday, batting third and playing left field against the Diamondbacks.

The veteran outfielder exited Monday's game with leg cramps that ultimately sidelined him from Tuesday's tilt. However, the added time off proved to be enough for Holliday to get back into the lineup for Wednesday's contest. He'll be facing Arizona southpaw Patrick Corbin in his return to the lineup.
