Young posted a .630 OPS in 254 at-bats with the Mets in 2014 before hitting .282/.354/.521 with three home runs and 10 RBI in 71 at-bats with the Yankees.

Yankees, Chris Young have mutual interest in staying together

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/7/14) The Yankees and outfielder Chris Young have mutual interest in keeping Young with the team for the 2015 season, and the two sides are discussing a deal, CBSSports.com baseball insider Jon Heyman reports.

The Yankees like having Young as a fourth outfielder, and he's a nice fit off the bench for a team with two left-handed hitters in the outfield. He posted a .630 OPS in 254 at-bats with the Mets in 2014 before hitting .282/.354/.521 with three home runs and 10 RBI in 71 at-bats with the Yankees.

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(9/15/14) With the return of Carlos Beltran to the starting lineup, Yankees outfielder Chris Young was forced to take a seat Monday at Tampa Bay. Young, who was signed to a minor-league deal after the Mets released him in August, had started seven straight games for the Yankees and is one of their hottest hitters, batting .385 (10 for 26) with three home runs during that stretch.

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(9/11/14) Yankees outfielder Chris Young went 3 for 4 with a double, a home run and two RBI in his team's 8-5 win over the Rays Wednesday.

It was Young's first home run since moving from the cross-town Mets, and he's now 4 for 8 with his new team. Young has hit .214/.289/.366 with nine home runs, 32 RBI and seven stolen bases in 262 at-bats.

Yankees add four more to major-league roster

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/2/14) The Yankees purchased the contracts of pitcher Rich Hill and outfielder Chris Young from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Tuesday and added them to the active roster. Both players were added to the 40-man roster for the final month of the season as well.

The team also signed outfielder Antoan Richardson and pitcher Chaz Roe to major-league contracts and added them to the active roster Tuesday, the team announced.
