He finished the day 2 for 4, knocking his 25th double of the year earlier in the game. Kinsler has hit .303/.343/.489 with 10 home runs, 42 RBI and eight stolen bases in 325 at-bats.

Ian Kinsler drives in three, homers vs. former mates
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(6/25/14) Tigers infielder Ian Kinsler got some revenge on his former team Tuesday, in an 8-2 win over the Rangers.

Kinsler, who was traded away by the Rangers this offseason, got the Tigers on the board with a first-inning solo home run. He ultimately drove in three runs while going 2 for 5 with one run scored in an 8-2 win.

Kinsler's average has dipped below .300 thanks to a subpar June, though a recent stretch of seven hits in three games has him back up to .295 overall. He has nine home runs and 38 RBI, while ranking fifth in the American League with 51 runs scored.

Ian Kinsler bracing for rude reception in Texas
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(6/24/14) Second baseman Ian Kinsler on Tuesday will make his first appearance in Arlington, Tex., as a member of the Tigers. Kinsler was quoted in an ESPN The Magazine article saying he hoped the Rangers, his former team, would go 0-162, but said the comment was taken out of context, per ESPN.com.

"If people want to boo me for saying something bad about the front office, that's their prerogative," Kinsler told MLB.com. "I guess we'll see."

Kinsler went 6 for 14 with three RBI and four runs scored in the weekend series against Cleveland and is batting .294 with eight homers and 35 RBI.
