by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer

He and home plate umpire Clint Fagan exchanged words after Upton returned to the dugout, and Fagan tossed Upton out moments later.

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(5/21/15) Padres left fielder Justin Upton went 1 for 4 with a two-run home run in his team's 3-2 loss to the Cubs on Wednesday.

Upton's fourth-inning home run was the only offense the Padres were able to muster, and the team took its fourth loss in five games as a result. Upton is 1 for 8 with five strikeouts since delivering a two-homer performance on Sunday. He has hit .284/.348/.561 with 11 home runs, 29 RBI and eight stolen bases in 148 at-bats.

OF Justin Upton's 2 HR day not enough for Padres in loss

by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer
(5/17/15) Padres outfielder Justin Upton was a one-man wrecking crew in Sunday's 10-5 loss to Washington, cracking two solo home runs in the defeat to move into double digits on the season.

Upton's third-inning blast of Stephen Strasburg gave the Padres a 2-0 lead, but his eighth-inning homer could only slice San Diego's deficit to 10-4. Both longballs came with two outs.

Upton has been the middle-of-the-order threat the Padres were hoping for when they traded for the outfielder right before the season began, as he raised his average to .293 with 10 homers and 27 RBIs.

Padres' Justin Upton on stolen bases: 'My legs just feel good'

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(5/17/15) Padres left fielder Justin Upton has given the team a big boost with his bat, but he's also excelled on the basepaths, stealing eight bases in as many attempts.

"My legs just feel good," Upton said Sunday morning, per U-T San Diego. "I had some nagging things going on in Atlanta that kind of stopped me from running as much, but I’m feeling healthy. I’m feeling good."

Upton has hit .277/.342/.511 with eight home runs, 25 RBI and eight stolen bases in 137 at-bats.

Padres left fielder Justin Upton cranks eighth home run of the year

by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(5/10/15) Padres left fielder Justin Upton went 2 for 6 at the plate in San Diego's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks in 12 innings.

Upton came up with the most important hit of the game when he crushed a 3-2 pitch off of Randall Delgado over the left center field wall for a solo home run in the 12th, his eighth of the season.

Upton is now hitting .287 with 24 RBI in 115 at-bats this season.
