Kyle Lowry returning to Toronto on four-year deal
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(7/3/14) The Raptors will return most of their roster that made a run in the playoffs last season, as guard Kyle Lowry has agree to return on a four-year contract as a free agent.

Lowry's deal will pay him $48 million, and multiple outlets have reported it will contain an early-termination option after the third season. Lowry is coming off the best season of his career, as he averaged 17.9 points, 7.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game in 79 games.

Kyle Lowry and Luol Deng might be out of Miami's price range
by Joe Polito | CBSSports.com
(7/1/14) Two of Miami's top free agent targets may be financially out of reach, according to multiple reports. ESPN reports that Luol Deng won't be willing to go under his market value to join the Heat, and the starting point of the Raptors' talks with Kyle Lowry is said to be in the $12 million range.

Neither of those seems like a doable scenarios for Miami considering LeBron James reportedly wants a max deal and they still have to find reasonable numbers for Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. We'll never rule anything out when it comes to a dealing Pat Riley, but it's looking like Miami will have to go the cheaper/older route in free agency.

Meanwhile, NBA Insider Ken Berger reports that the Hawks, Mavericks and Clippers are in pursuit of Deng, and Lowry is supposedly a lock to return to Toronto despite fielding interest from several teams.

Report: Raptors will work quickly to re-sign Kyle Lowry
by Joe Polito | CBSSports.com
(6/30/14) One of the most surprising players of last season will hit the open market in free agency Tuesday, but the Raptors will reportedly make a strong push to retain guard Kyle Lowry as quickly as possible.

Yahoo Sports reported Monday that Toronto general manager Masai Ujiri will make an "aggressive bid" for Lowry when the clock strikes midnight. The hope is to lock up their star point guard before contenders like Miami or Houston can get to him.

Lowry said in a recent interview that he wanted to sign somewhere where he could "play for a championship," so it would be surprising if he didn't at least listen to what some of the league's powerhouses had to offer.

Kyle Lowry's knee injury won't require offseason surgery
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(4/28/14) Raptors guard Kyle Lowry tweaked his right knee at some point in the third game of the opening round of the playoffs against the Nets.

Lowry, who's had issues with his right knee this season, played through the issue and scored 22 points in an 87-79 victory in Brooklyn. He is averaging 18.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists through four games.

Lowry told Sportsnet.ca the injury will not require surgery in the offseason.

"I'm okay, it's controllable," Lowry said. "We can do what we need to do to get through the playoffs. It's nothing I need surgery for or anything like that. It's definitely a pain, but I'm not going to worry about it, I'm not going to complain about it, I'm just going to do my job."
Kyle Lowry has no trouble in return
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(4/10/14) Raptors guard Kyle Lowry got a soft landing in his return from a three-game absence due to a knee injury, as he scored 29 points in a 125-114 win over the 76ers Wednesday.

Lowry scored his 29 points in 38 minutes, shooting 9 of 19 from the field. He was just 2 for 7 from three-point range but made all nine of his free-throw attempts. Lowry added five rebounds and eight assists without a turnover, as well.

Lowry is enjoying the best season of his career heading into free agency. He is averaging 17.4 points, 7.6 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game
