Lowry slumping down the stretch : Raptors guard Kyle Lowry's shooting struggles continued during Tuesday's contest against the Hawks. Lowry finished with eight points in the 113-96 win on just 2 of 6 shooting from the field. Both of his makes did come from the 3-point line and he also added 11 assists and three steals to his stat line, while logging 27 minutes of game action. (Updated 4/16/13) |

Lowry has been in quite a shooting slump of late. He entered Tuesday's tilt shooting just 37 percent from the field over his last 10 contests and is averaging 9.0 points and 8.6 assists over that span. While the 27-year-old was able to maintain his assist and rebounding numbers, his scoring dropped off by nearly three points per game during his first full season in Toronto. Part of that could the result of the strained relationship he and coach Dwane Casey have as the two have had some disagreements in recent weeks regarding philosophy. While Lowery is one of the better stat-sheet fillers at guard, his poor shooting number do limit his value a bit. Still, owners should plan on targeting him in the middle rounds in most formats next season. (Updated 4/16/13). |

| Don’t let his final numbers fool you; Kyle Lowry had a breakout campaign in 2011-12. Before a stomach virus essentially cost him the final month of the season, Lowry was enjoying his most productive campaign ever, averaging 15.9 points and 7.2 assists per game in the first 38 games. He demanded a trade in the offseason, and found himself shipped to Toronto, where he will be the starting point guard. Toronto’s offense struggled last season, but with Lowry running the ship, things should get much better. If he can stay healthy, we expect Lowry to sustain his production from the first half of last season. Fantasy owners should target him in the early rounds on Draft Day, as a high-end starting guard.
