|Glen Davis banished to locker room in win |
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
(3/29/14) Clippers forward Glen Davis had a bit of a run-in with coach Doc Rivers Saturday, and it ended with his banishment to the locker room for the second half of the team's win over the Rockets.
Davis apparently was not pleased with being pulled out of the game at one point in the second quarter, and Rivers had Davis escorted to the locker room where he stayed for the rest of the game. Davis finished scoreless with just one steal in four minutes of action.
Davis hasn't had any issues since joining the Clippers in late February following a buyout from the Magic. He is averaging 3.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in 15 appearances.

(2/27/14) Glen Davis' new contract with the Clippers will last through the 2015 season, according to ESPN Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Times on Thursday.
Davis was bought out by Orlando shortly after the trade deadline and signed a new deal with the Clippers on Monday. Davis scored just two points, grabbed two rebounds and blocked two shots in his debut on Wednesday.
|Glen Davis to make Clippers debut Wednesday |
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
(2/26/14) Clippers forward Glen Davis is set to make his debut for his new team Wednesday against the Rockets, the Orange County Register reports.
There were no problems with Davis' physical, so he's good to go for Wednesday. His usage will be dictated by the flow of the game.
|Glen Davis will not play Monday |
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
(2/24/14) Clippers forward Glen Davis will not be available to play in Monday's game against the Pelicans, the Orange County Register reports.
Davis has not been able to take a physical yet but will do so Tuesday in Los Angeles. If he passes, his deal with the Clippers will be official. Davis averaged 12.1 points and 6.3 rebounds in 45 games with Orlando this season.
|Glen Davis' season ended early last year thanks to a fractured left foot, and that injury did not get much better in the offseason. Davis had to undergo a second surgical procedure to replace the screw in his foot, putting his availability for the start of the season in doubt. That is a shame, as Davis was blossoming last season, averaging 15.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, career-highs all. Now, he loses all of that momentum and might enter training camp behind schedule, while having to battle for playing time with a slew of younger options. Davis has played both center and power forward in his career, and he might have to scrap for minutes at both spots this season. Given the makeup of the roster, it is probably fair to assume he will struggle to find as many minutes as he had a year ago. Fantasy owners should take a risk on Davis in the later rounds given how well he played pre-injury last season, but he could also end up being a disappointment this season.
