Thunder's Serge Ibaka: Scores only two points in series finale

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/26/16) Ibaka was limited to two points (0-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two steals, and one block across 30 minutes in Monday's 118-104 Game 5 win over the Mavericks.

The Thunder closed out the series in fairly comfortable fashion, but it was no thanks to Ibaka, who was largely invisible on the court during his 30 minutes. He was still effective enough in the first four games of the series, averaging 15.3 points, seven boards, 1.5 blocks, and 1.3 steals in 33 minutes, and the Thunder will have to hope that version of Ibaka shows up in their second-round matchup with the Spurs.

Thunder's Serge Ibaka: Tallies near double-double in Game 1 win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/17/16) Ibaka recorded 17 points (7-8 FG, 3-3 3Pt), nine rebounds, three blocks and a steal over 28 minutes in Saturday's 108-70 Game 1 victory over the Mavericks.

The big man was impressive down low versus Dirk Nowitzki and company, filling out the stat sheet over a modest amount of playing time. Ibaka even displayed a little proficiency from beyond the arc, and notably hauled in eight of his nine rebounds on the defensive glass. The 26-year-old posted solid averages of 15.8 points and 7.8 rebounds over four games against Dallas in the regular season, and appears poised to continue his success in the opening round playoff series.

Thunder's Serge Ibaka: Resting Tuesday night

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/12/16) Ibaka will be held out of Tuesday's tilt with the Spurs in order to rest, Erik Horne of The Oklahoman reports.

Ibaka did not make the trip to San Antonio along with fellow teammates Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook as they'll get a night off in order to rest up before the playoffs get underway later in the week. The Thunder have already secured the third seed in the Western Conference so many reserve players will see expanded roles on Tuesday night. Look for Enes Kanter and Nick Collison to carry most of the power forward minutes in Ibaka's absence.

Thunder's Serge Ibaka: Contributes 14 points in Saturday loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/10/16) Ibaka (rest) contributed 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds and a pair of steals over 29 minutes in Saturday's 114-112 loss to the Kings.

The veteran big man, like three of his other teammates in the starting five, was coming off a rest day last Wednesday versus the Trail Blazers. Ibaka put together his seventh double-digit scoring outing in the last eight games, and provided his typically solid work on the glass. After a highly uneven first half of the season, Ibaka has stabilized his scoring contributions, and is averaging 14.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.3 blocks over his last five games.

Thunder's Serge Ibaka: Will not play Wednesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/6/16) Ibaka will not play Wednesday against the Trail Blazers for rest reasons, Anthony Slater of The Oklahoman reports.

Head coach Billy Donovan has opted to rest Ibaka along with three other starters for this matchup. The news is not surprising as it is the second half of a double-header late in the season, but it unfortunately was announced relatively close to tip-off. The Thunder do not play again until Sunday, so expect Ibaka to return to the court for that contest. In the meantime, expect Enes Kanter to see a heavier workload.
