Raptors' Serge Ibaka: Scores team-high 23 in Game 4 loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/8/17) Ibaka scored 23 points (10-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT) while adding two rebounds and an assist in 35 minutes during Sunday's 109-102 Game 4 loss to the Cavaliers.

It was his best scoring performance of the playoffs for the Raptors, although he was once again neutralized on the glass. Ibaka will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and while Toronto would love to bring him back into the fold and see what he can do over a full season as a frontcourt complement to their Kyle Lowry-DeMar DeRozan backcourt duo, the 27-year-old should be in very high demand on the open market.

Raptors' Serge Ibaka: Cleans glass Thursday vs. Bucks

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/27/17) Ibaka finished with seven points (2-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds and two blocks across 31 minutes during Thursday's 92-89 Game 6 victory over the Bucks.

Though Ibaka struggled to find good looks and knock them down, he was the game's leading rebounder with 11 boards -- his best performance on the glass since Game 1, where he ripped down 14 rebounds. Ibaka also feasted on Milwaukee's lack of perimeter shooting throughout the series, averaging 2.4 blocks coming into Thursday's contest, where he swatted two shots. Depending on how coach Dwane Casey addresses the starting lineup during the Raptors' next series against the Cavaliers, he could be faced up against a tough offensive opponent in Kevin Love. Though, if coach Casey opts to keep rolling with Ibaka at center, he could be matched up against Tristan Thompson. Regardless, Ibaka will be forced to protect the glass, as both players are top-tier rebounding presences. Game 1 tips off Monday.

Raptors' Serge Ibaka: Will play Tuesday vs. Bucks

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/18/17) Ibaka (ankle) will play and start at power forward for Tuesday's Game 2 against the Bucks, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.

Ibaka was able to go through pregame warmups without any issues, so he feels comfortable enough with the ankle to give it a go Tuesday. Look for him to take on his usual role in the starting lineup and the fact that this is an important playoff game, Ibaka will likely take on a full workload. If at any point Ibaka does deal with some ankle issues, Patrick Patterson and P.J. Tucker would likely be the favorites to see an uptick in minutes. Ibaka posted 19 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks across 36 minutes in Game 1.

Raptors' Serge Ibaka: Game-time decision Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/18/17) Ibaka (ankle) went through morning shootaround and is expected to play in Tuesday's Game 2 against the Bucks, but the Raptors are officially labeling him as a game-time decision, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.

Ibaka sat out Monday's practice to recuperate after suffering an ankle injury during the Raptors' Game 1 loss Saturday. His participation in Tuesday's morning shootaround suggests that he should be available later in the evening, but the Raptors will wait to assess Ibaka's condition closer to the 7:00 p.m. EST tip off before making a formal declaration. If cleared to play, Ibaka shouldn't face any restrictions after logging 36 minutes in Game 1 and contributing 19 points (8-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 14 rebounds and three blocks.

Raptors' Serge Ibaka: Suffers ankle injury, will play Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/17/17) Ibaka sat out Monday's practice with an ankle injury, but is expected to be ready to play in Tuesday's Game 2 against the Bucks, Raptors radio play-by-play announcer Eric Smith reports.

It sounds like Ibaka is just dealing with some minor soreness to the ankle, so he shouldn't miss any time despite being held out of practice. It's still worth it to monitor his status up through pregame warmups Tuesday just in case he's surprisingly added back to the injury report. That said, Ibaka had a strong Game 1 against the Bucks, posting 19 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks across 36 minutes, so as long as the ankle injury doesn't act up during the game, he should be in line for another hefty workload.
