Magic's Serge Ibaka: Dominant in Sunday's win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/4/16) Ibaka posted 21 points (9-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and three steals across 34 minutes during the Magic's 98-92 win against the Pistons on Sunday.

Ibaka tallied season highs of four assists and three steals while matching his season high with three blocks. After seeing less than 30 minutes in four of the first eight games of 2016-17, Ibaka has earned at least that much time in 11 of the last 13. The two exceptions were this past Friday's blowout win over the 76ers and an 88-69 loss to the Pacers back on Nov. 14, so it's clear that Ibaka has established himself as an integral part of Magic coach Frank Vogel's rotation. Given that the team lacks adequate three-point shooting, it's reasonable to expect the well-rounded veteran to continue receiving heavy minutes on most nights.

Magic's Serge Ibaka: Keeps rolling with 18 points in Tuesday's upset win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/30/16) Ibaka paced the Magic with 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block across 34 minutes in Tuesday's 95-83 win over the Spurs.

Aside from a five-point outing Nov. 23 against the Suns, Ibaka has been excellent over the last seven games, averaging 16.1 points (on 51.2% shooting from the field), 7.1 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, 1.9 three-pointers and 1.1 assists in 32.6 minutes per game. Coach Frank Vogel has made significant changes to the starting lineup the past two games, but Ibaka's role has remained stable, as he's seen 33 and 34 minutes in those two contests.

Magic's Serge Ibaka: Scores 19 in Sunday's loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/27/16) Ibaka scored 19 points (8-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding six rebounds, two blocks and an assist in 33 minutes during Sunday's 104-96 loss to the Bucks.

He's starting to look more like the player he was in Oklahoma City, and Ibaka has now recorded multiple blocks in five straight games while draining at least one three-pointer in six straight. It's also becoming clear that there is no further level to his game, however, as his scoring hasn't taken a big leap forward now that he's out from under the shadow of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Magic's Serge Ibaka: Scores 19 points, blocks four shots Friday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/26/16) Ibaka provided 19 points (8-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, four blocks, two assists and one steal across 31 minutes in Friday's 94-91 loss to the Wizards.

Ibaka bounced back well on the offensive end after he was limited to just four points on 2-of-9 shooting in a seemingly favorable matchup with the Suns on Wednesday, and continued to exert his will near the rim. After averaging a meager 1.1 blocks per game over his first nine contests of 2016-17, Ibaka has amassed three or more rejections in five of his last seven contests.

Magic's Serge Ibaka: Ineffective outside of three blocked shots

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/24/16) Ibaka scored five points (2-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and added four rebounds and three blocks in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 92-87 loss to the Suns.

After putting together a string strong games, Ibaka came out with another dud. Fortunately for fantasy owners, he was able to salvage some value with his high block total. Wednesday marked the fifth time in 15 games that Ibaka has failed to score 10 points. He has been inconsistent all season long. The upshot is that, despite Wednesday's poor showing, he has been improving as the season goes on. He has at least eight rebounds in six of the past seven games, despite reaching that mark only once in the season's first eight games. Similarly, he has four games of three or more rebounds during the last six games, and none before that. While Wednesday was disappointing for fantasy owners, Ibaka is still generally trending up.
