Kings' Kosta Koufos: Will start Monday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/11/16) Koufos will draw the start in Monday's tilt with the Suns, Matt Peterson of Suns.com reports.

The Kings have a very depleted roster for this one, resulting in Koufos grabbing the start. He has averaged 10.3 points and 9.1 rebounds in 12 starts this season. The Kings are likely going to have a thing roster for their season finale as well, so Koufos should have an opportunity to finish the season strong.

Kings' Kosta Koufos: Starting Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/7/16) Koufos is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Timberwolves.

DeMarcus Cousins is sitting out for rest, so Koufos will move into the starting lineup next to Willie Cauley-Stein at power forward and center respectively. With Cousins on the sidelines, both players should see an increase in their normal role. Koufos is averaging 11.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over 23 minutes during his last five games, but his minutes should be on the rise Thursday, which offers the potential for increased numbers across the board.

Kings' Kosta Koufos: Resting Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/5/16) Koufos will be rested for Tuesday's game against Portland, James Ham of CSN Bay Area reports.

The Kings continue their trend of resting players down the stretch, and tonight it will be Koufos and Rudy Gay who sit on the bench in street clothes. In the absence of Koufos, DeMarcus Cousins could see an even more integral role offensively, while rookie Willie Cauley-Stein figures to pick up some extra minutes, as well.

Kings' Kosta Koufos: Has productive effort off bench despite leg injury

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/3/16) Koufos (leg) collected 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 FT), seven rebounds, an assist, two blocks and a steal over 31 minutes in Saturday's 115-106 victory over the Nuggets.

The veteran center was questionable heading into Saturday with a leg injury, but showed no ill effects while serving as one of three Kings reserves to manage double-digit scoring off the bench. With DeMarcus Cousins held out for rest, Koufos also received 30 minutes or more for only the sixth time all season. He's now managed five straight double-digit scoring efforts, and is averaging 11.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 1.4 blocks and 0.6 steals over that span.

Kings' Kosta Koufos: Questionble to play Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/2/16) Koufos is questionable to play in Saturday's matchup with the Nuggets due to a knee injury, James Ham of the Bay Area Comcast Sports Network reports.

It is unclear when Koufos injured his knee, but it is bad enough to land him on the injury report. DeMarcus Cousins is already ruled out for this one, and Willie Cauley-Stein is also questionable resulting in a potentially thin frontcourt for the Kings. If Koufos can indeed play he should see a bigger workload than usual due to Cousins' absence. Expect an update on his status closer to game-time.
