Wizards' Markieff Morris: Scores 21 in Game 1 win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/16/17) Morris scored 21 points (8-19 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT) while adding seven rebounds, four blocks, two assists and a steal in 38 minutes during Sunday's 114-107 Game 1 win over the Hawks.

Making his postseason debut after 448 career regular-season games, Morris came through with a big performance at both ends of the court. The Wizards' offense flows through their backcourt, but Morris should still see enough usage to be productive after setting career highs in rebounds, three-point percentage and free-throw percentage this season.

Wizards' Markieff Morris: Sitting out Wednesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/12/17) Morris will not play Wednesday against the Heat, Candace Buckner of the Washington Post reports.

The Wizards will sit Morris, Brad Beal and John Wall for the regular season finale, while Marcin Gortat and Otto Porter will see limited minutes. Expect Jason Smith and Bojan Bogdanovic to both benefit from Morris' absence, while Morris will return to his usual starting role for Game 1 of the postseason.

Wizards' Markieff Morris: Set for limited minutes

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/10/17) Morris will see limited minutes Monday against the Pistons, Candace Buckner of the Washington Post reports.

Coach Scott Brooks said all five usual starters will play under an unspecified minutes restriction Monday as the Wizards gear up for the playoffs. As a result, Morris, John Wall (quad), Otto Porter (back). Brad Beal and Marcin Gortat make for very risky DFS plays, while reserves like Bojan Bogdanovic, Kelly Oubre, Brandon Jennings, Jason Smith and Ian Mahimni should all pick increased minutes.

Wizards' Markieff Morris: Scores 21 points in Saturday's return

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/8/17) Morris accumulated 21 points (9-13 FG, 3-4 3Pt), five rebounds and one steal across 30 minutes during Saturday's 106-103 loss to the Heat.

Morris missed Thursday's tilt against the Knicks due to a sore right ankle that he had been nursing for two games prior, but returned in impressive fashion Saturday against the Heat, nailing three triples for the first time since Feb. 16 against the Pacers. Morris continues to have a solid fantasy season for those who drafted him, improving his season averages of 12.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game on 42.5 percent shooting last season to 13.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game on 45.1 percent shooting this season. He's also bumped his free-throw shooting from 73.5 percent up to 83.7 percent and his three-point shooting from 30.3 percent up to 35.1 percent. Overall, Morris is worth owning in the majority of fantasy formats and is a regularly viable DFS option.

Wizards' Markieff Morris: Will play Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/8/17) Morris (ankle) will play Saturday against the Heat.

A sore ankle kept Morris out of action Thursday in New York, but he'll miss only one game and will reclaim his spot in the starting five, pushing Jason Smith to the bench. Morris could see a slight increase in minutes, as the Wizards will be without Otto Porter (back), who will be replaced in the lineup by Kelly Oubre.
