Spurs' Danny Green: Hits three treys in Friday's win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/25/16) Green finished with 11 points (3-4 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, four blocks and two assists across 32 minutes in Friday's 109-103 win over the Celtics.

Since making his season debut Nov. 9 against the Rockets after being sidelined due to a quad injury, Green has comfortably claimed the bulk of the playing time at shooting guard -- averaging 26.8 minutes per game -- while Jonathon Simmons and Kyle Anderson have settled into more diminished roles. Though Green is rarely a first or even second option offensively for the Spurs, he's remained a reliable shooter from the outside, knocking down 2.0 treys per game while hitting them at a 45.7 percent clip in his eight appearances.

Spurs' Danny Green: Cleared to play Wednesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/16/16) Green (groin) has been cleared to play in Wednesday's game against the Kings, Tom Orsborn of San Antonio Express-News reports.

Green took a shot to the groin during Monday's matchup with the Heat and was held out of the second half of that game. However, he was able to go through Wednesday's morning shootaround without any issues and was fully expected to be available for the Spurs' matchup with the Kings, so it's comes as little surprise he's now been cleared. Look for him to take on his normal role as the team's starting shooting guard.

Spurs' Danny Green: Taking part in shootaround

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/16/16) Green (groin) took part in shootaround Wednesday, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

While he's officially listed as questionable, Green's participation in shootaround would seem to bode well for his chances to play Wednesday night against the Kings. Official word likely won't come until later in the evening, however, so check back for an official designation before deploying Green in any daily contests.

Spurs' Danny Green: Questionable Wednesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/15/16) Green (groin) is considered questionable to play Wednesday against the Kings, Mike Monroe of The Rivard Report reports.

Green made the trip to Sacramento with the team, but his status won't be determined until he can be evaluated at shootaround Wednesday. The guard was limited to 15 minutes in Monday's game against the Heat after taking a knee to the groin area, but he's remained optimistic that he'll be able to play Wednesday. If that's ultimately not the case, both Patty Mills and Jonathon Simmons would be in for increased minutes.

Spurs' Danny Green: Sits second half Monday with groin injury

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/15/16) Green was limited to 15 minutes during Monday's game against the Heat for precautionary reasons after being kneed near the groin area in the first half, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Green indicated after Monday's game that he'll likely play Wednesday against Sacramento, although it's certainly possible that coach Gregg Popovich will err on the side of caution and allow Green to rest Wednesday, even though the injury isn't believed to be overly serious. If Green sits, Patty Mills and Jonathon Simmons will be in line for added minutes.
