Spurs' Danny Green: Drains six threes in Tuesday's Game 5 loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/11/16) Green registered 20 points (7-10 FG, 6-9 3Pt), three rebounds, two steals, one assist, and one block across 29 minutes during the Spurs' 95-91 loss to the Thunder in Tuesday's Game 5.

Green responded well following a scoreless showing in Sunday's Game 4. However, it was not enough to help San Antonio regain the series lead. During round two, he is averaging 11 points (51.4 FG, 55.2 3Pt, 100.0 FT), 3.4 rebonds, 2.2 steals, one assist, and one steal across 31 minutes. If Green is making his outside shots and manages to stay out of foul trouble for Thursday's Game 6 in Oklahoma City, he figures to earn heavy minutes as the Spurs fight to force a Game 7 back at home.

Spurs' Danny Green: Held scoreless in Game 4 loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/9/16) Green was held scoreless (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and collected five boards, two steals, and one assist across 28 minutes in Sunday's 111-97 Game 4 loss to the Thunder.

After tallying 18 points in Game 1, Green has seen his scoring decline in each subsequent contest, with Sunday's effort representing a new low. While his lack of shot attempts certainly didn't help his cause, Green certainly saw enough minutes to make an impact had he chosen to become more aggressive. He's now averaging just 7.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, two steals, two three-pointers, and 0.9 blocks across 25.9 minutes in his eight postseason appearances.

Spurs' Danny Green: Scores nine points in Monday's game 2 loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/3/16) Green scored nine points (3-11 FG, 3-8 3Pt) and collected two rebounds, one assist, and four steals over 36 minutes in Monday's Game 2 loss to the Thunder,

It was a poor shooting night for Green, but he was hardly the only Spur to struggle with his shot on Monday. His only made baskets were his three successful attempts from downtown, although he was the lone player to connect on multiple threes for San Antonio. The springy guard also made his presence felt on the defensive end, racking up a game-high four steals. Despite his low scoring output, Green is now shooting an even 50.0 percent from behind the arc this postseason and will continue to see looks in the team's well-oiled offense.

Spurs' Danny Green: Registers postseason-high 18 points in Saturday victory

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/1/16) Green registered 18 points (6-7 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, an assist, three blocks and a steal over 26 minutes in Saturday's 124-92 Game 1 second-round victory over the Thunder.

It's clearly a banner night for the Spurs offense when Green gets in on the fun and serves as the third-leading scorer on the night. The veteran turned in only his second double-digit scoring effort of the playoffs to to date, while setting postseason bests for field-goal percentage, made three-pointers and point total. He continued his typically stellar work on the defensive end as well, recording a trio of blocks for the second time this postseason. While Green's productivity will undoubtedly fluctuate throughout upcoming games, his defensive prowess and considerable playoff experience figures to earn him an appreciable amount of playing time in each contest.

Spurs' Danny Green: Pours in 11 points in Game 3 victory

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/23/16) Green poured in 11 points (4-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt) and added four rebounds, three blocks and a steal over 25 minutes in Friday's 96-87 Game 3 victory over the Grizzlies.

The veteran sharpshooter turned in what increasingly became a rarity for him this season--a double-digit scoring effort. Green was able to find some success from long range Friday, and has actually been effective from beyond the arc throughout the series so far. He's shot 50 percent from three-point range over 12 attempts to date in the postseason, and has taken only five shots total from in front of the arc. Although Friday's results are encouraging, Green's haphazard involvement in the offense makes it very difficult to predict when he will enjoy a productive outing.
