Clippers' Blake Griffin: Leads starters with 21 points Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/23/17) Griffin produced 21 points (9-23 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Thursday's 97-95 loss to the Mavericks.

Despite leading the starters in scoring, Griffin didn't have a particularly good game. He shot inefficiently, had a light rebounding effort, and rarely set up his teammates to score. In the month of March, he's averaging 18.0 points on 46.5 percent shooting, 7.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. While those are certainly solid numbers, it's not what we've come to expect from Griffin throughout his career. He and the Clippers will try to figure it out as they inch closer and closer to the playoffs.

Clippers' Blake Griffin: Has light stat line in blowout

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/22/17) Griffin scored 12 points (2-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT) to go along with eight assists and three rebounds over 26 minutes in Tuesday's 133-109 win over the Lakers.

With the Clippers winning 70-40 at the half, the starting five spent significant time on the bench in the second half, and were it not for Griffin's shots at the charity stripe, his output would be virtually nonexistent. With a team like the Clippers, blowouts can sometimes be anticipated, but it's difficult to gauge who will end up with less production. In this game, Chris Paul put up great numbers, but Griffin was not as lucky. Owners expecting a big night were certainly disappointed, but it shouldn't be enough to doubt his ability to post big numbers in all formats.

Clippers' Blake Griffin: Surprises from behind arc in win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/21/17) Griffin posted 30 points (12-19 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-7 FT) with six rebounds, two assists, a blocked shots and a steal across 31 minutes in Monday's 114-105 win against the Knicks.

The three triples tied a season high, as he also went deep three times in his 43-point effort Feb. 26 against the Hornets. After his poor game in Utah on March 13 the forward has bounced back with 23.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists over the past three outings.

Clippers' Blake Griffin: Back in starting lineup Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/18/17) Griffin will rejoin the starting five Saturday against the Cavaliers.

As expected, Griffin will resume his usual role in the starting five upon his return to the team after resting for Thursday's tilt against the Nuggets. He's averaging 19.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists across 36.1 minutes per game since the All-Star break.

Clippers' Blake Griffin: Won't play Thursday vs. Nuggets

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/16/17) Griffin won't travel to Denver for Thursday's game against the Nuggets, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Both Griffin and DeAndre Jordan are set to remain in Los Angeles, as the Clippers are looking to get a few of their veterans some extra rest down the stretch, especially on the second night of a back-to-back set. With both Griffin and Jordan out, we should get a bigger dose of both Marreese Speights and Brandon Bass in the frontcourt, as the Clippers don't necessarily have a bunch of big bodies to step in for their All-Stars. They could also go with a smaller three-guard lineup and shift a guy like Luc Mbah a Moute over to the power forward position.
