Mavericks' Wesley Matthews: Scores 19 in loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/24/16) Matthews scored 19 points (5-13 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 6-7 FT) in Dallas' Game 4 loss to the Thunder. He added two rebounds and one assist in 38 minutes played.

After a rough start to the series, Matthews is averaging 20.5 points in the last two games. The total is even more impressive considering the veteran guard is shadowing Kevin Durant on the defensive side of the ball. Matthews and his Dallas teammates will look to avoid elimination Monday.

Mavericks' Wesley Matthews: Salvages rough night with crucial bucket

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/18/16) Matthews scored just six points (3-11 FG, 0-7 3Pt) to go along with five rebounds, two steals and an assist in 36 minutes during Monday's win over the Thunder.

Although he struggled from downtown, Matthews played terrific defense on Kevin Durant, including a hustle strip that led to a crucial layup which ultimately won Dallas the game. Matthews should be expected to log heavy minutes for the duration of the series, but he is likely to be more valuable for his defense than he is to fantasy owners unless he can get his outside shot to fall.

Mavericks' Wesley Matthews: Tallies seven points in Game 1 loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/17/16) Matthews tallied seven points (3-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt), two rebounds, an assist and a steal over 29 minutes in Saturday's 108-70 Game 1 loss to the Thunder.

The veteran two-guard got the starting call at small forward for Game 1, but as had often been the case during his first season in Dallas, he considerably struggled from the field. Matthews appeared to cure his season-long shooting woes in the Mavericks' mad dash for the playoffs over the last three weeks of the campaign, but his inaccuracy reared its ugly head again Saturday. The 29-year-old will be one of many players who'll need to step up in Game 2 to avoid a likely insurmountable hole.

Mavericks' Wesley Matthews: Rebounds with 20 points in Monday's crucial win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/11/16) Matthews finished with 20 points (7-14 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 38 minutes during Monday's win against the Jazz.

After a poor outing against the Clippers, Matthews returned to form, notching his 11th double-digit game in his last 12 contests. It's been a encouraging season for the 29-year-old, who returned from a devastating Achilles injury last season and has put up solid scoring numbers all season. He's now averaging 14.8 points and shooting 45.5 percent from three-point range over his last dozen games.

Mavericks' Wesley Matthews: Scores seven in loss to Clippers

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/11/16) Matthews scored seven points (2-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in a loss to the Clippers on Sunday. He added three assists and three turnovers in 31 minutes of action.

Matthews has cooled off after a hot stretch and has shot a combined 5-of-16 in Dallas' last two games. He failed to connect on multiple three pointers for the second time in his last 11 games played. He will look to bounce back Monday against the Jazz.
