Ridnour steady down the stretch : Minnesota guard Luke Ridnour was fairly productive during Saturday's contest against the Suns. Ridnour finished with 12 points in the 105-93 win on 3 of 8 shooting from the field. He made his lone attempt from behind the arc and also added four assists and two steals to his stat line, while logging 30 minutes of game action. (Updated 4/14/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
Ridnour has actually been limping toward the finish line as he entered Saturday's tilt averaging just 8.1 points in the month of April -- his lowest scoring output of the year. However, the 32-year-old has been a model of consistency this season as he averaged at least 15.7 Fantasy points in all but two of the 24 scoring periods of the year. Luke is projected to be the team's shooting guard for next season, but we really don't see his numbers changing all that much. Consider the veteran a viable low-end option, worthy of a late-round selection in most formats heading into the 2013-14 campaign. (Updated 4/14/13). |
| Luke Ridnour put together the best scoring campaign of his career during his second season in Minnesota as he averaged 12.1 points over 53 games for the Timberwolves. He also averaged 4.8 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game in 33.0 minutes, while shooting 44.0 percent from the field. Ridnour spent much of the year being paired with Ricky Rubio in the backcourt, but eventually resumed the starting point guard duties when Rubio went down with a knee injury. The 32-year-old will likely be used in a similar fashion this upcoming season as he will be asked to run the team's offense until Rubio comes back from injury before eventually shifting back over to shooting guard. The former University of Oregon standout has been fairly consistent over his career and can be counted on for low-double digit scoring on a nightly basis to go along with a 4-6 assists and a handful of rebounds. Fantasy owners should consider Ridnour a viable low-end guard worthy of selecting in the later rounds of most formats. (Updated 8/22/12) |
