Warriors' Andrew Bogut: Responds with Game 5 double-double

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5:08 am ET) Bogut scored 15 points (7-9 FG, 1-2 FT) with 14 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocked shots in 30 minutes as Golden State defeated Oklahoma City in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

Golden State head coach Steve Kerr called out Bogut prior to the game, saying he needed the Aussie center to stay out of foul trouble. Bogut did just that; he didn't pick up his third foul until late in the fourth quarter and contributed series-highs in all the major categories. He protected the rim and helped make the Warriors competitive on the boards where they equaled the Thunder with 45 rebounds. The Warriors, down three games to two, travel to Oklahoma City for Game 6 on Saturday.

Warriors' Andrew Bogut: Needs to avoid foul trouble

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/25/16) Bogut needs "to be smarter with his fouls," said Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Bogut, who has been whistled for 13 personal fouls during the first four games of the Western Conference Finals, is averaging just 14 minutes per game. He's picking them up quickly, forcing Kerr to sit him for long stretches. The coach understands the Warriors rebound better when Bogut is out there, so getting more foul-free minutes from Bogut would help the Warriors on the boards and defensively -- areas where Golden State has been weak in the series.

Warriors' Andrew Bogut: Series-low 11 minutes in Game 4

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/25/16) Bogut played just 11 minutes in Tuesday night's 118-94 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. He finished with six points (3-3 FG) with three rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot in the loss.

Whether by design, necessity or the lingering effects of an adductor injury he suffered in the previous series against Portland, Bogut hasn't been a big piece of head coach Steve Kerr's attack during the current series. Bogut got wrangled up in foul trouble Tuesday, committing four of them which may be the cause of his limited minutes, but Kerr has been leaning on his small-ball lineup all series long. Bogut's averaging just 14 minutes per game through the first four. Given Golden State's struggles on the boards during this series -- they were outrebounded, 56-40, and gave up 16 offensive boards to the Thunder -- there's a place for Bogut's size.

Warriors' Andrew Bogut: Scores two points in Game 3 loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/23/16) Bogut contributed two points (1-3 FG), five rebounds and two assists across 12 minutes in Sunday's 133-105 Game 3 loss to the Thunder.

Bogut has seen his playing time dissipate in each successive game of the series, as coach Steve Kerr has shown more willingness to lean on Draymond Green as his small-ball center during this round of the playoffs. It hasn't helped that Bogut has been prone to fouling in this series, gathering three fouls in each contest despite playing no more than 17 minutes in any.

Warriors' Andrew Bogut: Scoreless in Game 1 loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/17/16) Bogut (hip) played 17 minutes in Golden State's loss to Oklahoma City in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. He did not attempt a shot, finishing with three rebounds, three assists, a steal and two blocked shots.

Bogut's status was uncertain over the weekend, leading up to Game 1, and head coach Steve Kerr appeared to be cautious with the Aussie center. His night was over by the middle of the third quarter, but they could have used his inside presence as the Warriors were out-rebounded, 52-44, as Thunder bigs Serge Ibaka (11 rebounds), Steven Adams (12) and Enes Kanter (six in 18 minutes) furiously worked the glass. Game 2 is set for Wednesday in Oakland.
