Warriors' Andrew Bogut: Out 6-to-8 Weeks

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(6/15/16) Bogut (knee) will miss 6-to-8 weeks with multiple bone bruises in his left knee, Marc Stein of ESPN reports.

While Bogut traveled with the team to Cleveland for Game 6, there was never much of a chance that he'd play after suffering what looked to be a fairly gruesome injury during Game 5. It's certainly encouraging that he's avoided any ligament damage and won't require surgery, but the big man still faces a lengthy recovery timetable that will sideline him for much of the offseason. Still, Bogut is expected to be back at full strength for the start of the 2016-17 campaign, the final year of his current contract.

Warriors' Andrew Bogut: Won't require surgery, likely done for Finals

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(6/15/16) Bogut (knee) will not undergo surgery on his sprained left knee, but he's not expected to return during the Finals, David Aldridge of TNT reports.

The Warriors are yet to offer much in the way of an update on Bogut's status, but it's highly unlikely the big man plays again this season. Bogut made the trip to Cleveland with the team, though it'll likely be Festus Ezeli and Anderson Varejao seeing the bulk of the minutes at center when Golden State veers away from its "Death Lineup" with Draymond Green at the five. Considering Bogut will avoid surgery, the expectation is that he'll be ready for the start of next season without much issue.

Warriors' Andrew Bogut: Not expected to play Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(6/15/16) Bogut (knee) is not expected to play Thursday night's Game 6 in Cleveland, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The Warriors are awaiting the results of an MRI before making any official announcement about Bogut's availability Thursday. The big man played just eight minutes in Game 5 before suffering a knee injury that looked bad at the time and knocked him out of the game. If he can't go, the Warriors will look to Anderson Varejao and Festus Ezeli as replacements, but they are also getting Draymond Green back after he served a one-game suspension. Green's presence will help shore up the defense, which allowed Cleveland to shoot a playoff-high 53 percent from the field in the Cavs' win in Game 5.

Warriors' Andrew Bogut: MRI scheduled for Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(6/14/16) Bogut (knee) is slated to undergo an MRI on Tuesday, ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports.

The Warriors initially indicated Bogut, who left Monday's Game 5 loss in the third quarter with a left knee sprain, would be evaluated immediately after the game, but the team has elected to push back the MRI. The big man appeared in immense pain after suffering the injury and could be at risk of missing the rest of the postseason, but we'll have to wait on the MRI results before knowing his status. If Bogut ends up being sidelined for Thursday's Game 6, Festus Ezeli and Anderson Varejao could be asked to fill most of Bogut's minutes.

Warriors' Andrew Bogut: Will not return to Game 5

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(6/13/16) Bogut will not return to Game 5 against the Cavaliers after suffering a sprained left knee. He will undergo an MRI on Tuesday.

Bogut had his left leg awkwardly caught underneath J.R. Smith while attempting a rebound, causing it to slightly bend in the wrong direction. He was unable to put any weight on the leg while needing assistance getting off the court in the third quarter, although the severity his injury won't be made clear until the Warriors release the results of his MRI. If Bogut misses further time, expect Festus Ezeli and Anderson Varejao to see added minutes at center.
