Cavaliers' Channing Frye: Scores 12 points in Wednesday's Game 2 win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(7:39 am ET) Frye finished with 12 points (5-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists, and one steal across 20 minutes during the Cavaliers' 123-98 win over the Hawks in Wednesday's Game 2.

Frye played more minutes than starter Tristan Thompson, but this was likely due to the game being a complete blowout. Still, Frye has been seeing some time at center as the Cavaliers continue to go small and shoot a lot of threes. After sitting out the first postseason game against the Pistons, Frye has averaged 4.6 points and two rebounds in 17 minutes during the last five contests. There were two straight scoreless showings thrown in there, but Frye is averaging 10 points per game against the Hawks here in round two.

Cavaliers' Channing Frye: Will start Wednesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/13/16) Frye will draw the start in Wednesday's season finale versus the Pistons, Pistons' radio announcer Mark Champion reports.

Frye will start in place of Kevin Love at power forward on Wednesday. The Cavaliers are resting a majority of their regular rotational players, so Frye should see a relatively high workload.

Cavaliers' Channing Frye: Moves back to bench

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/23/16) Frye will move back to the bench for Wednesday's game against Milwaukee, broadcaster John Michael reports.

Frye enjoyed a one-game stint in the starting five while Kevin Love dealt with a knee injury, but the veteran now heads back to the bench where he tends to see roughly 16-22 minutes per game.

Cavaliers' Channing Frye: Stays hot from long range

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/13/16) Frye scored 15 points (5-8 FG, 5-7 3Pt) while adding five rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes during Sunday's blowout win over the Clippers.

The big-man put forth his best performance as a Cavalier Thursday against the Lakers, and his effectiveness from long range carried over to Sunday's tilt. Frye's role is very clearly defined with his new team, and while he has proven his ability to knock down shots, he has generally only seen enough minutes to make an impact in games that Cleveland has won handily.

Cavaliers' Channing Frye: Tallies 21 points in spot start Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/11/16) Frye tallied 21 points (8-10 FG, 5-7 3Pt), seven rebounds, an assist and a steal over 24 minutes in Thursday's 120-108 victory over the Lakers.

The 10-year veteran notably got the starting nod over Tristan Thompson with Kevin Love (knee) out, and generated a season-high scoring total in the process. Frye was particularly outstanding from the field during his relatively modest time on the court, and flashed his trademark touch from beyond the arc by equaling a season high with five three-pointers. With Love's status unknown for Sunday's tilt versus the Clippers, Frye could make for an intriguing near-minimum priced option in daily formats for at least one more game.
