|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(2/19/15) Colts general manager Ryan Grigson said Thursday that safety could be a position of need, and the team will take look at all options, RTV6 reports.
Grigson also indicated an interest in resigning Mike Adams, saying the team would "love to have Mike back," adding he "never played like he was long in the tooth."
Adams and LaRon Landry, who was released by the team last week, combined for 134 tackles and 7 1/2 interceptions at the safety position in 2014.

|(2/11/15) The Colts released strong safety LaRon Landry, who was owed $8 million over the next two years, reports ESPN.com. Landry, 30, had 47 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 11 games last season.
Landry made 100 tackles with the Jets in 2012 before signing a four-year, $24 million deal with Indy. He missed nine games over two seasons with the Colts, including a four-game suspension last year for PED use.

|(11/10/14) Despite returning from suspension, Colts safety LaRon Landry will not be handed a starting role.
Colts coach Chuck Pagano told reporters Monday Landry will play in Week 11 against New England, but safety Sergio Brown will remain the starter.
Landry was the starting safety for the Colts until he was suspended for four games after violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing substances.
Colts S LaRon Landry not set to return as starter
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
|(11/5/14) The return of just-activated Colts safety LaRon Landry does not necessarily translate into his reinstatement as a starter, per ESPN.
Chuck Pagano believes that move could take time.
"What we're going to do is kind of just stick with the plan," he said. "Keep letting him get his legs underneath him. ... We'll just continue to put him there, see where he's at, evaluate him from a physical standpoint, mental standpoint. Any time you're away from the game and you're not out there for an extended period of time, it takes a little bit of time to get back. We'll just evaluate that situation on a daily basis."
Replacement Sergio Brown has performed well. He totaled two pass deflections in the Monday night defeat of the Giants. The Colts are 4-1 with Brown as a starter, but Landry is in the second season of a four-year contract worth $24 million.
