Bruins' David Krejci: Hampered by knee injury

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/25/17) Krejci dealt with a knee injury during the Bruins' first-round series against the Senators and was targeting the second round of the playoffs for a return, Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe reports.

Considering he was planning a return in short order, Krejci's ailment does not sound overly serious, so he'll likely be ready to go once Boston begins the 2017-18 season. Despite playing in all 82 regular-season games for the first time since his third season in the league, the 30-year-old put up a relatively meager 54 points with a poor minus-12 rating, so he'll be looking to bounce back next year.

Bruins' David Krejci: Won't play Sunday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/23/17) Krejci (lower body) won't be in the lineup for Sunday's Game 6, Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe reports.

The center left Game 5 due to injury and also missed the first two games of the series, so injuries have put a damper on his playoff productivity. With 54 points in 82 games in the regular season, he was a crucial cog in the Boston offense all season, so his absence will put Boston in a tough spot to avoid elimination.

Bruins' David Krejci: Day-to-day with lower-body ailment

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/22/17) Krejci (lower body) is considered day-to-day after leaving Friday's Game 5 contest against the Senators late in the first period, NHL.com reports.

Krejci appeared to injure his left left leg upon colliding into Chris Wideman at high speed in the neutral zone. The veteran pivot had already missed Games 1 and 2 of these conference quarterfinals due to an upper-body injury, so we can only imagine how frustrating it must be for Krejci to be dealing with another malady, especially given the high stakes. He'll be reevaluated ahead of Sunday's home match.

Bruins' David Krejci: Will not return Friday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/21/17) Krejci will not return to Friday's game against the Senators due to a lower-body injury.

The veteran center was forced to miss the first two games of the series due to an upper-body injury before returning for Game 3. He was forced to leave Friday's Game 5 after after taking a hit from the Senators' Chris Wideman. The severity of Krejci's injury is unknown at this time, so consider him day-to-day heading into Sunday's Game 6.

Bruins' David Krejci: Will play in Game 3

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/17/17) Krejci (upper body) is taking line rushes in advance of Monday's Game 3 against the Senators and is expected to play.

The veteran center sat out the first two games of the series with the injury but appears good to go for Game 3 in Boston. Krejci has plenty of postseason experience (93 games), and has fared quite well, recording 29 goals and 77 points in the playoffs. He'll resume his role on the second line between Drew Stafford and David Backes.
