Flames' Kris Versteeg: Re-ups for one-year

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(6/29/17) Versteeg re-signed with Calgary for one year Thursday, Sportsnet reports.

Versteeg nearly signed with Edmonton ahead of the 2016-17 campaign, but he instead landed with the Flames. In 69 games with Calgary, the veteran compiled 15 goals and 22 helpers -- his fourth straight 30-plus-point campaign. The winger will no doubt continue to suit up on the power play, where he averaged 2:33 of ice time and tallied 16 points last season. Despite being listed as a third-line player, Versteeg should provide solid fantasy production for deeper formats.

Flames' Kris Versteeg: Available for Vegas

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(6/20/17) Versteeg was not protected from Wednesday's expansion draft.

The 31-year-old winger hasn't been able to stay healthy for an entire season since the 2009-10 campaign. However, when he's been on the ice, he's been a power-play producer who's good for roughly a point every other game. It's unlikely Vegas picks up Versteeg, though, especially with other options like Brian Elliott, Troy Brouwer and Michael Stone being exposed.

Flames' Kris Versteeg: Two helpers not enough in series opener

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/14/17) Versteeg assisted on both Calgary goals in Thursday's 3-2 Game 1 loss, with one helper coming on the power play.

Versteeg's multi-point effort helped his team grab a lead midway through the second, but Anaheim was able to rebound with a pair of unanswered goals. The veteran winger finished strong with three goals and seven assists in the final 10 games of the regular season, and he's carrying that momentum into the playoffs.

Flames' Kris Versteeg: Nets pair of goals in loss

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/3/17) Versteeg potted a pair of power-play goals in Sunday's loss to the Ducks.

Another very strong showing from Versteeg, who dished out two assists against the Sharks on Friday. The 30-year-old has been piling on the offense of late and has racked up almost half of his points this season with the man advantage. He doesn't play in the top six, but his role on the top power-play unit makes him worth a look right now.

Flames' Kris Versteeg: Snaps 10-game goal drought

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/4/17) Versteeg posted a power-play goal in Friday's 3-2 overtime win against the Red Wings.

Versteeg hadn't scored in exactly a month, snapping a 10-game goal drought dating back to Feb. 3. He hasn't cracked the 40-point plateau since the 2011-12 campaign with the Panthers, and unless he catches fire it appears that streak is set to continue.
