Rockets' Nene Hilario: Totals 10 points across 10 minutes

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(10/5/17) Nene totaled 10 points (5-5 FG), five rebounds and two blocks across 10 minutes during a 144-82 win over the Shanghai Sharks on Thursday.

Nene (rest) made his preseason debut and looked good in doing so, as he made every shot he attempted and scored in double figures despite the light workload. Nene will likely be a low-end center option during the regular season as he is likely to play a backup role for at least the majority of games.

Rockets' Nene Hilario: Expected to play Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(10/5/17) Hilario (rest) is expected to see the floor during Thursday's preseason game against Shanghai, Craig Ackerman of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

The veteran sat out Tuesday's preseason affair for rest, but coach Mike D'Antoni seems to think it's a good idea to get him some run Thursday. The move could cut into both Clint Capela's and Chinanu Onuaku's time.

Rockets' Nene Hilario: Won't play Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(10/3/17) Hilario won't participate during Tuesday's preseason game against the Thunder for rest purposes, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The news doesn't come as much of a surprise, as there's little reason for the 14-year veteran to risk injury during the team's first preseason affair. As a result, starter Clint Capela and reserves Chinanu Onuaku and Zhou Qi should see additional run.

Nene Hilario: Re-ups with Rockets for three years

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(7/2/17) Hilario (groin) has agreed to sign a three-year, $11 million contract with the Rockets, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com reports.

Hilario originally singed a four-year deal with the Rockets late last week, but the league denied it due to the current over-38 rule. However, as expected he's now agreed to a revised three-year deal, so the veteran is slated to be back for his second season in Houston. Hilario should slot back in as one of the top big men off the bench, but his age and injury history largely hold him to short stints on the floor, which restricts his overall fantasy upside. Hilario averaged 9.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 assist across 17.9 minutes during the 2016-17 campaign.

Rockets' Nene Hilario: Remains a free agent

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(7/1/17) Updating a previous report, Hilario (groin) has not agreed to terms with the Rockets, and remains a free agent, Marc J. Spears of ESPN reports.

It was previously reported that Hilario had agreed to a four-year, $15 million contract with the Rockets, but the offer was, in fact, for three years and $10 million. The veteran big man was disappointed with the offer and is "back at square one in free agency," per Spears. It's still possible he could reach an agreement to remain in Houston, but the 34-year-old's future with the organization is now very much in limbo.
