Ducks' Ryan Miller: Not available Monday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/20/17) Miller (lower body) did not make the trip to San Jose with the team Monday, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.

Miller has been limited to just four appearances between the pipes this season due to various maladies. When healthy, the veteran has performed well considering he has posted a 1.87 GAA and .943 save percentage. For now, the netminder has been placed on injured reserve per the NHL media site, although a retroactive designation could make him available as early as Wednesday's tilt against Vegas.

Ducks' Ryan Miller: Eyeing return to practice next week

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/18/17) Miller (lower body) could return to practice next week.

As a clear sign of progress, the American netminder has had at least two sessions since Wednesday in which he's been on the ice ahead of practice, but he still lacks a clear timetable for his return. Fortunately for the Ducks, John Gibson is now healthy and available to grab the lion's share of the starts, with Reto Berra available as an emergency backup.

Ducks' Ryan Miller: Skates before practice

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/15/17) Miller (lower body) skated before the Ducks official practice Wednesday, but he's still a few days away from normal team activities, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.

The Ducks have three days off after Wednesday's game against the Bruins, so that will hopefully be ample time for Miller to recover. This is especially important since Sunday, Nov. 19 marks the first game of a back-to-back, giving Miller a good chance to start. However, until he can get a full practice in, Reto Berra will continue backing up John Gibson.

Ducks' Ryan Miller: Will miss Sunday's game

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/12/17) Miller (lower body) will not play against Tampa Bay on Sunday.

After Miller left in the third period of Friday's game against Vancouver, he missed Saturday's morning skate and hasn't healed enough to suit up Sunday. Reto Berra will receive the backup duties to John Gibson in his absence, and Miller can first appear next Wednesday against Boston.

Ducks' Ryan Miller: Misses out on skate

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/11/17) Miller (lower body) didn't skate Saturday, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports.

Since the veteran Miller was off the ice, unlike No. 1 puck plugger John Gibson (head), the latter is in line to make the start against the Lightning on Sunday evening. This was a golden opportunity for Miller to show that he can step in as a spot starter and still be effective between the pipes, but injuries continue to be a problem for the American backstop. He's likely to be evaluated on a daily basis until team doctors give him the green light to return.
